I look at the tent of the man I used to know.
A mere shell of what held your soul.
I find myself whispering the same question as everyone,"Why did you have to go?"
What was  Satan's goal,
By taking you away from us?

The pictures make us remember,
Some only back to December.
Some people not knowing you long.
That didn't mean they were wrong,
For calling you friend.

You impacted people's lives.
Men and their children, their wives,
Mourning over the loss of a great man.
A man who never ran,
From love.

You held your children close,
Of them you'd boast.
You were loyal to your friends,
And could always find a way to mend,
A problem or fight.

You left a hole in my heart,
Like someone shot it with a big 'ole dart.
Some day I hope to see you again,
Old friend.
So wait for me,
And it will no longer be you OR me,
But WE.
Paul's funeral was today. There were so many people, it was overwhelming. You could literally FEEL everyone's tears. The grief and wet cheeks made it hard to breathe in the room. R.I.P Paul, I can't wait to see you again. <3
EDIT:
This isn't one of those poems that you say "OMG, this is awesome!!!" to. You just nod a sad smile and hug the person in front of you. ...'Cause you may not get another chance.

It's like 2:34 right now, so I'm all tired and not cool or normal or right.
